Hello! I’ve noted that the oregano oil recommended for Jini’s oregano protocol is a 3:1 blend of olive oil to oregano oil. I am following the oregano protocol for abscess/fistula/colitis, and am tolerating the oil fairly well. Right now I’m blending 2:1 olive oil to oregano oil, but really that would be 5:1 if I consider the blend for the oregano oil. The recommendation, if tolerable, is 3:1. Am I looking at this the right way? Thank you for your time! I also suffer from vulvar Lichen Sclerosus and I’m seeing an improvement after using the oregano oil. I will share how it goes once I’ve completed the protocol – might be on the 6 month plan for the oral protocol…but we’ll see!! For the first time in 4 years I’m feeling optimistic. Thank you!!
Hi Stacey, Yes, you’re looking at it the right way! The Joy of the Mountains (JOTM) oregano oil is a 3:1 blend (3 parts olive oil to 1 part oregano oil), and when you add 2 more drops of olive oil to 1 drop of JOTM, it becomes 5 parts olive oil to 1 part oregano oil—a 5:1 ratio. The syringe protocol from Jini’s Home Remedy for Anal Fistula calls for full strength (3:1, like JOTM straight from the bottle) if tolerable, so your current 5:1 mix is more diluted than that. If you want the full strength 3:1, just use JOTM without adding extra olive oil.
It’s amazing to hear you’re seeing improvements—we’re thrilled you’re feeling optimistic after four years! We look forward to hearing more about your progress with the syringe protocol. Feel free to reach out anytime!
