I usually take a break from any type of alternatives which I ingest. There’s no set rules as to why and when… I only sense that it’s okay and beneficial to take breaks from certain ongoing digestive regimens.
Excellent interview with Natasha Trenev. AND timely information and guidance on continuation of probiotics! With gastroparesis (a complication of diabetes AND Abdominal adhesions, I was declining…FAST! Utilizing probiotics to control the cyclical problem of SIBO has improved with Natren Starter Set. Thank you for providing an honest product that give me a chance at recovering health. I continue to improve. BTW I supply them for a friend with SIBO and a re-occurring Spinal bone infection. The SIBO has resolved even though she must be on powerful antibiotics! She has regained her normal weight because of Natren probiotic Starter Set! You saved a life! Thank you Natasha and Jini!!
This is FANTASTIC Sharon!! Natren is also the only brand of probiotics I use as well (thanks to Jini), and now my mom uses them too. They’ve helped her stay regular, as well as helped with overall digestive discomfort. Can’t rave about them enough! 🙂
I was recently discharged from the hospital and diagnosed with UC. I was put on a low residual diet. I have decided to start adding shakes to my day. I am currently on Prednisone and was told by the GI I saw in the hospital to wait on taking probiotics. I have seen conflicting information that taking probiotics could cause further problems and that probiotics are very helpful. This confuses me, how can I tell if I should take probiotics or not?
Hi Cynthia!
I have been there! Jini’s Probiotic ebook is a great resource for you to read!

As a rule of thumb, Jini says you should always supplement with a probiotic according to your tolerance threshold. It’s more about the RIGHT kind of probiotic rather than to take or not take.
Some people do get reactions when taking probiotics, but that’s just because the ‘bad guys’ are being killed and flushed out of your system, so again not necessarily a bad thing. Always start low and slow when incorporating probiotics in, but all of Jini’s readers including myself who take Natren Probiotics could not have successfully healed without it!
There are very specific reasons why Jini ONLY recommends the Natren brand. Which you can read here:

These two posts written by Jini can help you determine how and which specific bacteria of Natren’s you should take based on symptoms ect…
