More than 80% of U.S. children and adults, aged 6 years and up, have detectable levels of glyphosate in their urine, according to data from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Those of you who subscribe to Dr. Mercola’s newsletter will have already seen his in-depth information on this topic and what we can personally do about this travesty. If you’re not subscribed, I encourage you to do so, as Mercola has been an excellent, science-backed source of health information for over two decades – which is why he was attacked/censored so heavily during the jab debacle!
Stephanie Seneff, senior research scientist at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), has been studying glyphosate for years and has been critical in helping people understand how and why glyphosate is so dangerous:
“I believe that in certain proteins, in certain spots, glyphosate is able to get into the protein by mistake, in place of the amino acid glycine. And to understand that glyphosate is a complete glycine molecule. It’s a perfect match to glycine. Except that it has extra materials stuck onto its nitrogen atom.”
Glycine is a very common amino acid your body uses to make proteins and glyphosate disrupts proteins that depend on glycine.
There is plenty of research that correlates the increase in glyphosate usage (Monsanto’s Roundup) to an increase in the incidence of diseases like breast cancer, pancreatic cancer, kidney cancer, thyroid cancer, liver cancer, bladder cancer, and myeloid leukemia.
This study also shows how glyphosate alters the gut microbiota, reducing beneficial bacteria:
“…utilizing shotgun metagenomic sequencing of fecal samples from C57BL/6 J mice, we show that glyphosate exposure at doses approximating the U.S. ADI significantly impacts gut microbiota composition. These gut microbial alterations were associated with effects on gut homeostasis characterized by increased proinflammatory CD4+IL17A+ T cells and Lipocalin-2, a known marker of intestinal inflammation.”
How to get glyphosate out of your body
Glyphosate is nearly everywhere in North America, but there are some things you can do to reduce exposure and also minimize the damage:
- Consume only certified (or home-grown) vegetables and fruit. Or buy from farmers you know.
- Fermented foods, especially kimchee, will chelate chemicals like glyphosate. Activated charcoal after a meal will also help bind the chemical so you can excrete it.
- Dr. Dietrich Klinghardt, who is a specialist in metal toxicity and its link to chronic infections, recommends taking 1 teaspoon (4 grams) of glycine powder twice a day for a few weeks, and then lowering the dose to 1/4 teaspoon (1 gram) twice a day. This allows glyphosate to be eliminated through your urine.
- Supplement with organic, grass-fed collagen, which is naturally rich in glycine. Or boost your collagen intake by making homemade bone broth using bones and connective tissue from grass-fed, organically raised animals.
- Take your Natren probiotics daily to protect your gut microbiota. If you tolerate dairy, then use their Yogurt Starter to culture an excellent food-source of probiotics.
A few days ago, I stood helplessly as I watched my neighbour spray his side of our property line with Grazon. Another super toxic herbicide that will get rid of the burdock and thistle on his side of the fence, while polluting the groundwater. He won’t be able to use the manure from his cows or horses for compost. And his cows cannot be sold for slaughter within a certain timeframe. That’s how toxic this chemical is!
But ONE MAN can decide to put this poison into our air, our water, and all the plants and animals will suffer because of it – none of us have any choice or voice in this matter. This is the real problem with chemical usage. Whether it’s your neighbour spraying their lawn, or a farmer spraying a field. We are all connected!! Our governments are supposed to protect us from poisons like this, but… well we all know where that ends up.
So those of us who are educated, who do care, let’s keep being the change we want to see. My neighbour is angry with me, because I won’t spray my side of the fence. Oh well.
Jini,
I just read the book The Devil in the Garlic by Greg Nigh. (He works with Stephanie Seneff FYI) The book talks about how glyphosate interferes with sulfur metabolism and leads to GI issues, amongst other problems…and includes many diet, lifestyle and supplements that repair this pathway. I found this synoposis of the book for you here: https://www.westonaprice.org/health-topics/low-sulfur-diet-benefits/#gsc.tab=0
Hi, Dr. Debbie! Thank you for sharing this. I’ve passed along your message to Jini. 🙂
Thanks Debbie, I’m sure many will find this info helpful.
This article raises important concerns about the widespread presence of glyphosate and its potential health effects. It emphasizes the need for individuals to take proactive steps to reduce exposure and detoxify their bodies. Additionally, it highlights the interconnectedness of our environment and the impact of chemical usage on both humans and the ecosystem. It’s essential to prioritize our health and make informed choices to protect ourselves and our surroundings.
Hi there! Thank you for sharing your thoughts on the article. Best 🙂
