Hi all, Linsy here! Today I want to talk to you about one of my go-to products, George’s “Always Active’ Aloe Vera Juice! This aloe vera juice helps me maintain lower levels of inflammation and soothes my GI tract throughout the night. I actually really love this aloe because for years I looked for a product that wouldn’t give me diarrhea – and this one is it!
It’s also great for helping to soothe ulcers, irritable bowel, chronic constipation, chronic heartburn, acid reflux, and more.
George’s Aloe Vera Juice for Healing Inflammation
Perhaps you’ve tried consuming aloe vera before and found it caused diarrhea or irritated your gut? This is probably because the brand of aloe you consumed contained preservatives. Or, it still contained the irritating laxative components of the aloe leaf.
Aloe vera juice must have no preservatives. It should taste pretty much like water and have all the irritating and laxative components completely removed. This is why George’s Aloe Vera is not thick or greenish in color.
This aloe juice is useful for mild heartburn, healing ulceration, stopping mild bleeding, and helping to restore the intestinal wall and lining. For years Jini took 1/4 cup daily as maintenance.
I still use it to this day for any upper GI distress! Before bed each night I like to enjoy my mucosal healing tea which contains this lovely aloe plus other gut-healing ingredients. Here is my recipe for that tea so you can try it yourself.
Aloe has some antibacterial, antifungal, and antiviral properties, so I like to use this as maintenance to keep my microbiome balanced, in case there is an unbalance with any pathogens. This is a great product you can use daily to help with these issues!
This aloe vera juice is best to drink on an empty stomach. You can combine aloe vera with other gut mucosal healing products, but make sure to take 2 hours away from probiotics.
Have you ever used George’s Aloe Vera Juice for healing inflammation, irritation, ulcers, or anything else? Drop a comment below and let me know if it’s helped you!
can aloe be mixed with absorb plus?
Hello, thanks for reaching out. George’s Aloe Vera juice should be consumed on an empty stomach to help mild heartburn, healing ulceration, stopping mild bleeding, and helping to restore the intestinal wall and lining. You can combine aloe vera with other gut mucosal healing products, but take 2 hours away from probiotics. Wait at least 30 minutes before consuming your Absorb Plus shake or consuming food. All my best!
Hello.
I am still having gut issues without a proper diagnosis. I had diverticulitis once in Dec 2020 then nothing until October 2022. Then back in ER without any diagnosis. They said no diverticulitis. I lost a lot of weight quickly because of discomfort/pain and bloating in upper and lower abdomen. I worked with a functional GI doc and felt good for a few months before bam… the bloating came back strong and so much discomfort and small pains throughout. Lost more weight. I ordered natural treatments for gut infections. I did try the oil of oregano and the three probiotics for a bit before I found the GI doc. My questions are as follows:
-should I order the three probiotics again and do that first before starting oil of oregano again? Only because I took berberine supplements for a few months which acts as a natural antibiotic.
– I have George’s aloe. How often should I take this and how much should I drink?
Thank you so much in advance
Amy
Hi Amy! I’m sorry you’re going through this, but you are asking some great questions. What’s nice about natural medicine is that often you don’t need a specific diagnosis to get treatment started!
Since you took berberine, I think you should definitely start back on the probiotics. Probiotics are helpful as a daily practice, but they are especially important when you take any antipathogen. You can take these while you are using the oregano oil, but make sure to separate by 90 minutes. For example, take the oregano oil on an empty stomach for at least 20 minutes before consuming food, then take your probiotics 90 minutes after the oregano oil.
Aloe vera is also great! I personally drink it every day in a tea: https://youtu.be/i6I8sM7n8bU
But of course, listen to your body on that one!
Have you ever found that George’s does cause diarrhea in some people?
Hi Stephanie, George’s aloe vera juice does not typically cause diarrhea as all anthraquinone from the aloe vera has been removed. This is why Jini recommended this brand. However, it’s important to note that each person is different and may react differently. It’s important to make sure you’re not allergic to Aloe Barbadensis Miller, the primary ingredient of George’s aloe vera juice. You’ll definitely want to consult with your doctor if you’re unsure. If you decide to proceed, it’s best to start low and slow and increase the dosage gradually.
I’m going to be doing the IBD remission diet for malnutrition with other GI issues, I can’t tolerate many foods right now. I have celiac too, but no bleeding or IBD. Do I need to take the 1/4 cup 3x/day as suggested in the book for bleeding or just the 1/4 cup before bed?
Thanks!
It’s great that you’re considering the IBD Remission diet for your GI issues and malnutrition. As for your question, since you are not bleeding, then 1/4 cup may all you need, however if your body tells you to drink more, then feel free to do so. Aloe vera juice has many healing properties and will surely benefit your body. Just listen to your body and adjust accordingly. Wishing you all the best!
