Hi all – Jini’s assistant Savannah here! Every day we receive questions from our readers surrounding various topics throughout both the blog and site, but every once in a while we get a question so GREAT we are prompted to address it on the LTYG blog for others who may be wondering the same thing. Recently we were asked about the types of tests that are performed on Absorb Plus during the production process so I’ve compiled some details about that below.
Imix Nutrition produces Absorb Plus in a cGMP (current good manufacturing practices) facility, which means they are audited to standards put forth and enforced by the FDA.
Imix Nutrition tests Absorb Plus for the following things:
Heavy Metals (in accordance to United States Pharmacopeia (USP) and the National Formulary (NF) standards):
- arsenic
- cadmium
- lead
- mercury
Biological Properties (in accordance to USP-NF standards):
- yeast and mold
- aerobic microorganisms – Escherichia coli (E. coli), salmonella, staphylococcus aureus, pseudomonas aeruginosa, coliforms
Label Claim:
- Imix ensures that the label claim is met for all ingredients listed within the supplement facts table
Gluten:
- ensures that the finished product tests below the detectable limit of gluten (less than 20 ppm)
