Working too hard? Post-medication? Suffered a recent trauma? Or recovering from a bug that seems to be lingering…?
These are the supplements I take to bolster my immune system and also help prevent a crash during times of intense stress (physical or emotional stress).
I’m going to give you both my bare essentials list and my serious hit-a-home-run list.
The Minimum – Prevention
Vitamin D3 – I’m half Indian, so I take 5,000 IU for maintenance and 10-15,000 IU for treatment. Depending on where you live (the further North, the weaker the sun), doctors recommend Caucasians take anywhere from 3,000-5,000 IU.
Cod Liver Oil – this brand (click that link) has a nice purified lemon flavor so I just chew these gelcaps with my Vit D3 and then spit out the casings. Even pregnant women tolerate these ones really well – no fish burps! Plus they practice responsible fishing and micro-filter for mercury and other contaminants.
MultiAbsorb Daily Essential – I LOVE the natural orange-mango flavor and drink this like a special juice with my breakfast or lunch. ALL the vitamins and micro-nutrients you need, with key amino acids, antioxidants, trace minerals – all at therapeutic levels.
I used to spend $40/bottle just for the B-complex vitamins that are in here. Instead, I get it all-in-one, with vit. A, K2, zinc, selenium, and other immune heavy-hitters at therapeutic dosing levels (not miniscule RDA!). 37 powerful nutrients in the most bioavailable forms!
*Note: Don’t drink this in the evening or you may have trouble sleeping from the energy boost of pure nutrients.
Bone Matrix – atom-sized blend of all the minerals you need for bone, teeth, and over 400 enzyme reactions throughout the body. Therapeutic levels of silica (takes away any joint pain I have after doing hard labor) and magnesium (nature’s muscle relaxant) all nanosized so instant uptake to the bloodstream (even through the lining of your mouth) and no negative effects – for example, the magnesium won’t loosen your bowels, and the calcium won’t build up in your arteries. Note: The synergistic nutrients like selenium, vitamin K1 + K2, boron, vanadium and basic vitamin D3 that you also need for bone/tooth formation are already present in MultiAbsorb.
Probiotics – again, ONLY this brand – get this free eBook if you want to know why – in capsule form if your bowels are normal or constipated. Use powder form if you’re having more than 3 bowel movements per day (transit time is too fast for capsules to dissolve properly). Yes, they’re expensive – they’re therapeutic-grade and in over 20 years of teaching people how to cure supposedly ‘incurable’ gut diseases, we haven’t found anything better.
The Apex – for Ongoing or Severe Fatigue
Vitamin D3 – I’m half Indian, so I take 15,000-20,000 IU for treatment. A light-skinned person would likely be fine with 10,000 IU per day.
Vitamin C – 1000-2000 mg every 2 hours, drink slowly for absorption. Stop when you hit bowel tolerance (loose stool).
Melatonin – 5 mg before bed

*If you’re not using Bone Matrix, then at least take magnesium citrate (or chelate) to bowel tolerance, or use this atom-sized magnesium that does not affect the bowels.
Probiotics – again, ONLY this brand – get this free eBook if you want to know why – in capsule form if your bowels are normal or constipated.
