Reid Kimball has finally finished and released his film on alternative healing methods for colitis and Crohn’s that many of us have been waiting for!
I have watched the full documentary and it is just GREAT. It will educate you, give you hope, encourage you on your journey and hopefully give you new ideas to try. I like the way the film provides a number of different options through following the experiments and Healing Journeys of a few people with Crohn’s or colitis; so you get to know their stories.
The preview is free and you can purchase the full-length documentary (1 hour & 10 minutes) for only $10 and watch it immediately online.
Even the preview is inspirational! Enjoy and share around with anyone you know who is suffering from colitis or Crohn’s.
Thank you Jini! You are the best. <3 -Reid
Hi Jini,
I have a request. I am currently on the Specific Carboohydrate Diet. I am allergic to eggs and dairy, which makes baking SCD loaf bread and flat bread difficult. I was wondering if you can try to make an SCD bread or wrap without eggs and dairy. It would be so helpful. Other SCDers , who have the same allergies, will benefit from it as well. Please let me know if you have any advice.
Thank you
Hello Penina,
Thank you for your question. Unfortunately we do not know a specific recipe for bread that meet those specific needs. If you do find a recipe we would love to hear what it is. I myself am trying to find a good bread recipe to meet my specific diet needs as well, it can be tricky, but I know they have a lot of different options now. Perhaps searching for a vegan bread option, that would not use eggs and dairy.
Best Wishes,
Rachel

Hi ,
I have a question about the stop intestinal bleeding diet. It mentions not eating coconut.
Does that also include young coconut and it’s water. Also if no coconut at allyou could explain
Why. Thank you soo much for all your love and help.
Hello Beth,
Thank you for your question. Whole coconut may not digest well when having gut issues. However, coconut water and oil may still be ok and help you get healthy calories and fats. We still recommend watching it like everything else you eat or drink to see if it is causing any problems. If you have any other questions please let us know.
Kind Regards,
Rachel

I need a word of hope. I had started my 17yr old on some of the supplements you recommend due to bloodwork from GI doctor. He started feeling better and even gained weight. Fastforward a month, he had a colonoscopy and endoscopy this past Monday and the doc found strickers opening of small intestines and couldn’t get into small intestines she says probably from imflammtion. Two nights ago my son started vomiting, diarrhea, horriable stomach cramps. He couldn’t hold anything down and his pain was an 8. Ended up in ER, no blockage from X-ray his crp level was 64. I know the procedures on Monday had to inflame him more. They gave him steroids and wants him on them for 10 days. He gets a contrast MRI in a week. I’m in shock and need help. I don’t want to make any mistakes with this. We are seeing a intergrative doc this coming week for guidance but I was wondering if you could suggest anyone in my area that can help us. We live near Charlotte NC.
Hello Karen,
We do not know of any doctors in your area. An integrative doctor sounds like a great start. We just recommend making sure you and your son go off your intuition on what is best to do and not give that away to any doctor. We do know of two doctors that do phone and online consultations that are familiar with our protocols if you are interested in that. You can see their information at these links: http://www.goldbergclinic.com/ and http://drruscio.com/
We also would recommend researching the symptom pages: http://listentoyourgut.com/heal-your-symptoms.html
Also we believe there are high chances of infections after exploratory surgeries, especially colonoscopies, and would recommend reading our free ebook on protocols we recommend after the surgeries. You can sign up for it in the pink box on the left of this page: http://www.listentoyourgut.com/symptoms/20/intestinal-stricture-or-bowel-obstruction.html
If you have any other questions please let us know.
Kind Regards,
Rachel

My son (9 years old) has been diagnosed with Ulcerative colitis and we are getting ready to go back to school and I want to purchase this for us to have on hand for the flu season but is it okay for take this? I’m worried about giving it to him because it contains alcohol. Would this trigger a flare? Anything else I can give him to build his immune system?
Hi Liz,
I responded to your email sent this morning. Pleas check your inbox and feel free to email me directly if you have additional questions.
