children_radiation_computers_cell_phonesA recent study by the National Toxicology Program exposed rats to RF radiation for 9 hours per day for a period of two years, beginning in utero, and compared them to a control group which was not exposed. While the rats from the control group did not develop any cancerous tumors, some male rats from the exposed group did.

The findings prompted this response from the American Academy of Pediatrics regarding cell phone use:

“They’re not toys. They have radiation that is emitted from them and the more we can keep it off the body and use (the phone) in other ways, it will be safer,” said Jennifer A. Lowry, M.D., FAACT, FAAP, chair of the AAP Council on Environmental Health Executive Committee.
