Tapping Into Food Intolerances, Pleasure, and Freedom
Have you ever felt like your body is saying “no” when all you want is to enjoy your food? In this new video, I explore that very topic with the wonderful Rachel Turner, health coach and EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) tapping therapist.

Why We Did This Session
In this video, Rachel takes the role of the tapping practitioner, and I’m the client. It’s not easy to find people who are willing to share a real tapping session publicly, but I wanted to make this one available for everyone.
Many of us struggle with food intolerances, restrictions, or the feeling that our body is limiting us in some way. For me, it’s dairy. I’ve dealt with bloating and digestive reactions to milk for years. But over time, I started to wonder if these food reactions were only physical—or if they were tied to something deeper.
Linking Food Intolerances to Pleasure and Freedom
Through my own tapping practice, I began noticing a connection between pleasure, permission, and control. Every time I tried to enjoy food more freely, something in me seemed to pull back.
As we explored this in the session, we looked at old subconscious patterns—like early childhood lessons about productivity, guilt around pleasure, and even ancestral or past-life experiences that might create inner limits.
What if the body sometimes mirrors the mind’s fears? What if intolerance or restriction is also a way of keeping ourselves safe from full expression and power? These are the kinds of questions we explored together.
What Tapping Can Reveal
Tapping (EFT) combines gentle acupressure with mindful statements. It helps release stored emotions and beliefs that may be influencing how the body feels and behaves.
During our session, we followed the thread wherever it led; sometimes into surprising places. We uncovered layers of old beliefs about not feeling safe to enjoy life fully or trust my own power. As the session continued, those feelings began to shift.
By the end, there was a sense of peace, openness, and safety, a feeling that maybe it’s okay to experience both pleasure and freedom in this body, in this lifetime.
Why I’m Sharing This
I believe that when one of us heals, we open a path for many others to do the same. That’s why I wanted to share this very real, unscripted experience with you.
If any part of our conversation resonates, I invite you to tap along with the video. You might discover your own insights about where freedom feels blocked, or where the body is protecting you more than you realized.
