Absorb Plus Vegan comes to Canada!

To all my lovely Canadian readers who have been patiently waiting, Health Canada finally issued an NPN so we could produce Absorb Plus Vegan here in Canada!

This is the same amazing elemental diet shake that people have been using to heal themselves for over 2 decades… but now with a vegan protein source.

HOORAY it’s finally available for all of you who’ve been asking for it!!

Made with Certified Organic, sprouted brown rice protein isolate, our custom amino acid blend, extensive vitamin and mineral panel (including trace minerals) with the delicious flavor you’ve come to expect. For those of you who have never tried rice protein – it has a nuttier taste and more grainy texture than whey protein.

In formulating this vegan version of the Absorb Plus elemental diet shake, my primary concern was to find a vegan protein source that was likely to be highly tolerated, plus in a highly bio-available form.

Lastly, the protein needed to actually be a protein isolate, not a generalized protein or concentrate that would likely contain a lot of carbohydrate matter as well. The certified organic, sprouted (fermented to increase digestibility) brown rice protein isolate in this product fit the bill and also passed my picky taste requirements!

We have gone all out for Canada and Absorb Plus Vegan is available in 3 delicious flavors: Unsweetened Vanilla Brûlée, Mocha Latte, and Unsweetened Coco-Choc. My favorite flavor is the Unsweetened Vanilla Brûlée (to which I add a scoop of stevia), with Mocha Latte following a close second. Don’t worry, there’s no actual coffee in Mocha Latte, just the natural flavor extra extract.

Rotate protein sources to avoid intolerance

Remember that even if you’re happy with the whey isolate version of Absorb Plus, it’s a good idea to rotate or alternate protein sources if you can; as it helps to prevent the possibility of developing an intolerance.

Even just a vegan shake here and there, when your body asks for it, can be a good idea. Especially if you are doing a 6-week elemental diet, or you use the shakes frequently.
