These atom-sized minerals are the ideal size and form for absorption and do not even require digestion – they can be absorbed through the lining of the mouth, making them ideal for those with digestive issues.
You may have read my blog post back in October announcing the nano-sized line of minerals I had been formulating for Imix… and I’m excited to say that QuikPlus minerals are finally here!
As I’ve mentioned before, my family has been using atom-sized minerals (as opposed to regular powdered minerals) since 2008 – and after testing them on our family for 2 years, I then told my readers about them in 2010.
Watch to the end of this video for a cute surprise… 🙂
Knowing exactly what goes into the bottle – and the ability to ensure that Imix Nutrition tests everything – was a huge factor in motivating me to formulate my own line of mineral products. Here are the current QuikPlus atom-sized, ionic liquid mineral products:
QuikPlus Bone Matrix – special blend of all the minerals needed to form teeth and bone, in the best ratios for maximum bioavailability and utilization.
QuikPlus Iron – absorbed directly into cell channels; does not require digestion so this iron doesn’t irritate the gut or cause constipation. Increases hemoglobin and stored ferritin.
QuikPlus Magnesium – does not loosen the bowel or cause diarrhea. Because it does not even require digestion.
QuikPlus Silica – great for hair, skin, connective tissue and joints.
QuikPlus Muscle Matrix – special blend to relieve cramping or spasming muscles.
QuikPlus Trace Matrix – all the trace minerals that used to be present in our soil before commercial farming stripped and depleted it.
*Note: As I say in the video, knowing the source of your minerals is important. As is testing the raw materials when they arrive, and then testing again after bottling to ensure what’s inside the bottle actually matches the label claim.
As I said in my previous post, I spent a LOT of time researching these formulations. For example, for Bone Matrix, I looked at actual clinical trial data to determine not only which minerals were effective in building bone and remineralizing teeth, but also, what ratio of each mineral was ideal.
I then cross-referenced these ratios with data gleaned from super healthy indigenous populations with no degenerative disease (thank you Dr. Weston A. Price) to see what ratios their food contained.
When you’re looking at mineral absorption and utilization, you have to look at the ratios of minerals in a blend, because if the ratio is wrong, the body can’t use or absorb the mineral properly. This study on copper/zinc as an autism predictor in utero is a great example of that. Another rule of thumb for mineral utilization is to make sure your blend contains more magnesium than calcium – 1.5:1 or 2:1 are ratios that work well.
And remember, if you have 2 different brands of atom-sized/angstrom/nano minerals and one of them tastes like straight water, yet claims to have the same amount as the other bottle… it means that one of them does not actually contain what it says on the label and is indeed, mostly water.
Note: In case you’re one of those people who don’t like drinking water, you can follow your QuikPlus Iron dosage with another liquid, like juice or tea. You can also split the dosage in half, so you only have to drink 1/2 cup of liquid afterwards. HOWEVER, the reason you’re advised to drink that extra bit of liquid/water is to prevent constipation. So if you don’t have any issues with constipation, then there’s no need to drink extra water at all!
I’m going to share a bunch of videos and blog posts over the next few weeks, showing you exactly how my family and I use each of these QuikPlus minerals. There’s a really funny one with my eldest son (Oscar, 19) coming soon!
Looks fabulous, Jini. When will they be available in Canada?
Hi Patsy! Thanks for your kind words! For now we are only rolling this out in the US shoppe – however Canada will fall next in line if we get good feedback from our readers. It’s still early, so we will see how it goes. =)
Yea!😊 can’t wait to try!
I’m a 71 year old going through dental implants and bone graphs. Will I benefit from the Ionic Bone Matrix and Magnesium?
I would think so! A clinical trial using these minerals combined with tooth filling material had a tremendous effect in preventing further decay. And we used them on my daughter to restore her rotted teeth, more on that here:
https://blog.listentoyourgut.com/quikplus-bone-matrix-usage-dosage/
Jini, Would this product ( bone matrix) cause constipation?
No it should not (and I tend towards constipation these days). Have you checked out the guidelines here:

are these available in Canada

Hello Jini
I was wondering when your going to have your Trace Minerals available? On your site you still have the Angstrom minerals there. Do you still recommend them and do you still take them?
Thank you, Kim
Hi Kimberly – thanks for reaching out! We are still working on getting our Trace Matrix launched, which should be within the next few months. We do have the Angstrom, but at this time Jini no longer takes Angstrom – as she has moved to the product she formulated (QuikPlus).
Jini has been very particular with her sourcing and mineral ratios when she formulated the QuikPlus line to ensure utmost quality. Angstrom is still a great product, and if you are looking for something to take in the interim while our Trace Matrix is still in the works it is a great choice.
We will create a blog post announcing when our Trace Matrix becomes available, so keep an eye out! =)
hi Jini! I would like to try the QuikPlus atom-sized iron; however, I have benn allergic to iron dextran and iron sucrose in the past. I just wanted to know if it is safe for me to use this iron since I had the allergy to those iron I mentioned above. thanks and I hope to hear your inputs.
Hi Viriato. Thanks for reaching out. It’s tough to say 100% that your body will be able to tolerate this if you have been allergic in the past, BUT these are nano-sized minerals. This is a much easier form for people with gut disorders, since normal iron is quite irritating to the gut and can trigger intestinal bleeding and/or result in constipation. However, due to its extremely tiny particle size (smaller than DNA) atom-size, angstrom iron does not need to be digested. It is instantly absorbed into the bloodstream.
I think in this case, if it is truly an allergy and not gut irritation, that you should consult your doctor. If you ultimately choose to try the nano-sized iron, as it’s tough to say whether or not your body will tolerate without actually testing it yourself, I would start with half the dose, or even a quarter, and work your way up to note any intolerance.
You can learn more about nano-sized Iron here: https://blog.listentoyourgut.com/angstrom-iron-for-anemia-is-easily-tolerated/
Hope that helps!
Thanks Savannah for the information. the allergic reactions that I had to those iron were because I had them through an IV. currently I am receiving another form of iron ferumoxytol through IV every 2-3 months depending on my body need. I can talk to my Dr. and see what he thinks about taking the atom-sized iron. thanks for your help once again. may God continue to bless the LTYG shop and team to the outstanding work that you all are doing for the people with digestive issues across the globe.
best,
Viriato Monteiro
Absolutely! You may have luck with this form of iron then, but please keep us updated on whether or not this works for you. I am very curious, as this is the most tolerable form of minerals for many people. =)
And thank you so much for your kind words! We are always here for any questions you may have.
In good health!
I loved you Bone Support Product and cannot wait to use Bone Matrix. I will buy it today!
Awesome! Let me know what you think of it 🙂
Hi Jini,
I am curious to know if you think that your Quick Plus Bone Matrix can help me reverse osteoporosis.
I have followed your advise and you helped me CURE my ulcerative colitis, but now I need help with my decaying bones!!
Hi Sabrina – that is FANTASTIC to hear! The healing journey is never easy, but we are so happy and glad to have been a positive part of yours. =)
If you’ve been on steroids for any length of time, or are concerned about Osteoporosis, then yes you can supplement with the targeted minerals in Bone Matrix to rebuild and strengthen your bones. It’s also good for people in disease states to ingest extra minerals to help alkalize the overall body pH.
You can learn more about Bone Matrix usage and dosage in Jini’s blog post: https://blog.listentoyourgut.com/quikplus-bone-matrix-usage-dosage/
Hello Jini, I am new to your blog. I have been advised by my nurse to use absorb plus after a flare up, which was a blockage. I also have short gut syndrome after my surgery. I am taking a lot of vitamin supplements. I would like to start taking your minerals and supplements. Will there be any interactions with my meds? Where do I start?
My 15 yo son has been diagnosed with Crohn’s and is currently undergoing chelation for heavy metals (he scored off the charts for lead and mercury and pretty high on cadmium as well). His naturopath wants him to take manesium (Mag Complete) and LDA Trace Minerals as chelation removes the good minerals as well as the bad stuff. My big concern is that he can be supersensitive to supplements (we are currently working up in levels for Natren probiotics as Jini recommends in her book). My question is that I was thinking of giving him the magnesium nano minerals in hopes that his stomach would tolerate it better. Which mineral is closest to substituting for the LDA trace minerals? (LDA trace minerals contain iodine, zinc, selenium, copper, manganese, chromium, molybdenum, potassium, boron, vanadium, and silica). It seems I saw something about trace minerals. Is that available yet and would that be the equivalent of the LDA trace minerals? I live in the US. Thanks in advance.
Hi Wendy,
So sorry to hear about your son.
I was thinking about this situation and wanted to share with you this heavy metal detox that Jini wrote in case you hadn’t seen it:
https://blog.listentoyourgut.com/chlorophyll-and-cilantro-pesto-heavy-metal-detox/
As for the minerals, yes nano-sized/atom sized trace minerals were designed by Jini and they are absolutely unbelievable! When I was healing Colitis, I couldn’t absorb any vitamins and was extremely sensitive.
Jini’s minerals were the ONLY brand I could tolerate that worked and didn’t cause issues. They are absorbed through the lining of the mouth and don’t require digestion so they do not cause bowel issues.
Here is more of an explanation on atom sized minerals:

As for which trace minerals there are alot that Jini have designed:
Here is the atom sized Magnesium:

Thank you so much!!
Hi, are there any studies that support the claim that ionic / angstrom minerals get absorbed before they reach the large intenstine? Or in the mouth as stated? Because in that case, we’d only have to swish the product around in our mouths and spit it out in order for it to be effective.
Hi Daniella, not a whole lot! See this post and click the links to the research papers on Osteoporosis and tooth filling material:
https://blog.listentoyourgut.com/are-atom-sized-angstrom-nano-minerals-safe/
I did have an anecdotal discussion with a practitioner who used them with autistic kids, many of whom would not swallow anything. He said that blood tests revealed the minerals were being sufficiently absorbed through the mucosal tissue in the mouth, before the kids spat them out.
