We just received this fantastic review in our Shoppe: gut-infection-frontcover

“Taking the Natren Healthy Start System Tripack probiotics couple with the Joy of the Mountain Wild Oil of Oregano, my bleeding stopped in less than a week. My severe pain was gone on my left side within two weeks. Within five weeks, I was completely regular with no diarrhea. I have been suffering since 2004 for nothing. I will not take anymore drugs to treat my colitis. The medical establishment with their prescription drugs was a complete failure and sadly it took too many years of suffering to find this out. If you are on the fence about trying this program you should absolutely reconsider.”

This person is obviously using the simple protocol outlined in my book, Natural Treatments for Gut Infection (also available as an eBook) and while some people have complicated conditions requiring the broad spectrum of treatments in Listen To Your Gut, for others, it can be this simple!

Here’s my video presentation of the 8 Key Steps to Healing IBD & IBS:

I Will Not Take Anymore Drugs to Treat Colitis!

  • Another natural plant to help with discomfort gas bloating etc is tea made from the herb peppermint
I started taking this tea and was amazed at the results. If you don’t have the plant herb a packaged caffeine free peppermint tea works well also or I carry a small bottle of peppermint spirits in my purse and I can squeeze a dropper into a bottled water and that works good also but I haven’t had much of that problem since I started on the IBD remission diet now only 6 days into it have you used peppermint in your plan?

    1. Hello Elizabeth,

Jini does recommend peppermint oil for certain conditions. However, when a person is having strong digestive symptoms peppermint can actually be more aggravating to the digestive system. It can cause intestinal bleeding and diarrhea to be worse. So, she does caution against it when a person is sensitive and doing the IBD Remission diet. Like every product though, Jini recommends for a person to listen to their body and gut on if it is something they can handle as everyone needs and irritates are all individual. She also recommends to keep a food dairy of all you eat, drink, and take to try to pinpoint if anything is aggravating your body more.
Please let us know if you have any other questions, and we would love to hear how you continue to do on the diet.

      Kind Regards,

  • Hi Jini. My son had a flare up from his colitis. Diarrhea, bleeding and this time he developed low grade fever too. I am giving him absorb plus shakes and oil of oregano and probiitics. Do you know the reason for fever, i am worried about that.
    Will appreciate your help.

    1. Hi Inderjit,

I wish I had a better answer for that part of the question but we’re not health professionals and unable to give any comment or advice to you about the reason for fever during flare-up.

During a flare-up it’s best to consume a liquid, pre-digested diet to provide a form of bowel rest and flushing of the colon, so just continue giving him the Absorb Plus and best to stick to only liquid nutrition for the entire duration of his flare-up.

Additional substances, like aloe vera juice, and MucosaHeal can be used to eliminate the infection and heal inflammation during this time.

If the ongoing bleeding is from the colon, then use Jini’s Healing Implant Enema, MucosaHeal and George’s Aloe Vera Juice, along with an elemental liquid diet. If bleeding is mild or sporadic, take MucosaHeal along with George’s Aloe Vera Juice and L-glutamine. Probiotics are also very helpful, along with the appropriate Healing Diet for colitis (from Jini’s book Listen To Your Gut).

I hope this will help your son.

      Kind Regards,
      Cris
